apparently it says that rauru DID have kids, multiple even, which yeah... is kinda necessary for zelda to even be connected to them so much so that sonia can SENSE a blood connection (which, even with all the excuses with magic, is just a little too far for me to suspend my disbelief bc its over, OVER, ten thousand years worth of generations that seperate her from them that one lil touch of the hand can sense that (feels more like an attempt to make you care about them or .. see them as zeldas "better" parents just bc they exchange a few nice words, i never got the feeling they were 'better' parents and its also kinda disrespectful to her actual parents, like sure rhoam wasnt the best but i wouldnt call rauru better just bc he was polite)- i could see maybe the light power of hylia or sth but since its the coolest dude that ever lived rauru now that had it which still doesnt make sense and makes me unreasonably annoyed and she can sense BOTH of their powers in her? nah) the fact theres NOTHING about them in the game itself is just so ... no way they planned any of this

something went really REALLY wrong during development, which kinda seems likely given how the game turned out (im sorry i cannot let go, its not just the writing, the game design too and how little was changed in the map while being so damn expensive, i dont know how people dont feel scammed q_q)

So, the way that your immune system works is that your innate immune system engages with a non specific quick response and your adaptative immune system engages with a slow but specific response

It may sound crazy, but the adaptative immune system has a specific weapon for EVERY PATHOGEN that EXISTS, HAS EXISTED and WILL EXIST, the way it works its honestly insane and is one of the most impressive feats of evolution

The way this works is that pathogens have "smells" called antigens, those antigens are specific to that species of bacteria so there's no species that share the same antigen/"smell" (usually)

Your adaptative system recognizes these antigens and prepares a weapon to deal with the bacteria that releases it, furthermore, it teaches the innate system to become aggressive to that smell, when the cell recognizes the bacteria that's releasing it, it tracks it down and kills it

Now the interesting thing about leprosy, is that it's smell/antigen (PGL1) does the opposite, the leprosy antigen actually triggers exhaustion and unresponsiveness in cells instead of aggression. Which one of the intriguing mechanisms it has to fight off the immune system, I don't think there's any other disease that does this as well which makes it even more fascinating!!

so if a kandra inhabits a body, to what degree is that body alive? would a kandra be able to use a human body to have human children (like if they were impersonating someone who was known to want a family over a long period of time)? tbf maybe they would just avoid that entirely, they are pretty crafty

High-echelon Mawkin suit modules can be pretty wild, and the Energy conversion module in Raven Beak's suit is no exception.

When exposed to an active current or energy field, the module accounts for the level of charged particles in the local atmosphere and converts the detected matter to power. Most substantial forms of power and radiation are compatible with its function, and it's calibrated to work more efficiently when exposed to substantially powerful forms of plasmic matter.

The conversion module is similar to (but should not be confused with) the thermal charge module, which charges the power suit in extreme heat. That technology is also implemented in the protective exosuits found in Cataris' lava zone. The Mawkin use thermal energy to power a number of their facilities: that they'd implement it in their more mobile works is only natural.

Back to the subject at hand, the conversion module's practicality is twofold: to keep Raven Beak's suit sufficiently charged and to maintain his vigor in battle. His particular biometric modifications are such that his suit, combined with his level of physical fitness, can theoretically keep him fighting without fear of exhaustion in perpetuity.

Raven Beak's juiced up version of lightning armor is the inverse of this module: it absorbs charged particles for the purpose of coalescing into a projected wave. The use of lightning armor in this manner negates the function of the conversion module for restorative purposes. Additionally, lightning armor works best against oncoming projectiles, while the reactive conversion module is at its peak when the suit is exposed to ambient radiation or concentrated, consistent flows of power.

Suffice to say, Raven Beak is probably the only person who could stick a fork in an electrical socket and have it do the exact opposite of killing him.
